Mens Teams

Here at Southwold RFC we run two Men’s teams, namely the 1st XV who play within the Eastern Counties League Division 2, as well as a 2nd XV who play in the Norwich Merit Division 3. Both teams have a packed season with league games starting this season (09/10) from the first weekend in September and running right through until May. Games are played every weekend both home and away as well as competing in respective cup/plate competitions.

We encourage all players or interested parties to train free of charge Wednesday nights at 7pm on Southwold Common, outside the NEW Pavillion. For details on how to find us just use the multimap link on the homepage. There is no initial requirement to join the club as a full member, and we would encourage anybody interested in playing, but a bit nervous, to sign up (free of charge) and sample a couple of games on a pay-as-you-play basis with our second team. If you get a taste for it, as we are sure you will, then regular 1st and 2nd team positions are there to be fought for. We can offer something for all from a challenging 1st team season to a more relaxed 2nd team experience. Anybody interested in playing is also encouraged to come along to watch a game or two and meet the teams. The fixtures and results for the 09/10 season are shown below.
